Jason M. Tyra is a an Attorney licensed to practice in Texas, a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the States of Texas, and New York, and an ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a graduate of UNT Dallas College of Law (Doctor of Jurisprudence), The University of Texas at Dallas Jindal School of Management’s Cohort MBA and Master of Science in Accounting programs (with concentrations in Taxation and Assurance Services) and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas.
Jason is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the American Bar Association, and the Dallas Bar Association. His specific areas of practice include:
- Federal, state, local tax advisory and compliance
- Equity crowdfunding & private placement planning and support
- Virtual currency process accounting & taxation
Jason M. Tyra is a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve, and is a veteran of the campaign in Afghanistan.
Jason has previously contributed to Bitcoin Magazine, and Coindesk, where he writes about tax and accounting issues affecting entrepreneurs and individuals who employ virtual currencies as a means of payment and store of wealth.
