Jason M. Tyra, CPA, PLLC is a full service accounting firm that provides a variety of financial services to start-ups, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and moderate to high net worth individuals.
Our logo is a stylized compass rose, symbolizing our commitment to service as our clients’ chief financial and business advisers. All too often, we see companies that fail for reasons unrelated to the quality or popularity of their product or service offering. “Helping you and your company navigate through complexity” is not just a tagline, but an expression of our vision as effective managers of the complex tax and regulatory issues that plague small businesses.
Jason M. Tyra, CPA, PLLC is an AICPA member firm and also a member of the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce. We are licensed to provide attest services in Texas, California, Connecticut, and Illinois. Attest services may be available in other states. Tax and other services are generally available nationwide.

Firm Principal- Jason M. Tyra, CPA, MBA, CFE
Jason M. Tyra is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the State of Texas and an ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas Jindal School of Management’s Cohort MBA and Master of Science in Accounting programs (concentrations in Taxation and Assurance Services) and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas.
Jason is a former auditor for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and has public accounting experience working for a large regional firm in Texas. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. His specific areas of practice include:
- Federal, state, local tax preparation
- Assurance & attest services (audits, reviews, compilations)
- Crowdfunding & private placement work
- Virtual currency process implementation & tax preparation
- State tax consulting
Jason M. Tyra is a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve and veteran of the campaign in Afghanistan. He is a CPA Volunteer for the AICPA’s Veteran Fast Launch Initiative.
Jason has previously contributed to Bitcoin Magazine, Coindesk, and Bitcoin4Biz, where he writes about tax and accounting issues affecting entrepreneurs and individuals who employ virtual currencies as a means of payment and store of wealth.
